This completely throttles data transfer from the DVD drive and causes dropped frames. If a high speed drive does not use DMA then it will never reach it's rated speed and the performance will depend on the speed of the CPU. I installed libdvdcss2 or something in order to get them playing at all, but it isn't exactly smooth. By the way the plugin used to stream Netflix movies is the silverlight even though flash movies are choppy too.
